Taipei Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2021 is announcing the launch of the Taipei Sustainable Collections as a one-day show that’s focused on sustainability and its intersection with fashion of the future. The show highlights the country’s innovation in eco-friendly and sustainable fabric development with dye techniques that conserve resources, textiles created from post-consumer PET bottles, recycled scrap tires, fish scales, oyster shells and more.
At the showcase, six brands will be sharing their vision for the future of sustainable fashion. #DAMUR will be using membrane and lamination technology to spark conversations about design and epidemic prevention, while Claudia Wang applies 3D virtual technology to minimize waste. Also at the event, WEAVISM will show the possibilities for unconventional materials like beeswax and banana leaves.
